This week our assignment is to relax. Sounds easy, right?? for many, including myself, it is not easy!!
I find it hard to focus on just breathing. Guided meditations do help but I still find my mind wandering. This is the one provided in class.
The instructions are clear and the narrator has a soothing voice.
By the end of the process, I admit I was more relaxed.
I do plan to try this again...in the evening, after a hot bath and maybe with softer lighting!!
I plan to post again this week-end with the results of that session!!!
Hi Sonya!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading your blog entries during this ten week class we are sharing! I think it is going to be a really great class! I love the idea of learning to align our bodies and minds and reach the best whole self we can be (also applied to the way we care for patients in the healthcare setting). Nice to 'meet ' you!
I am sooo with you. I believe our mind and soul play a vital role in our physical health!! This class is going to be awesome.
ReplyDeleteVery pleased to "meet"you as well!!!
Looking forward to your blog Sonya! You are doing a great job so far! :) This video was very relaxing to me. I felt lighter and just all around relaxed by the end of it. I think it would be great after a hot bath, right before bed as well.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have found a great place for relaxation. Whenever I spend time in nature it feels like a natural meditation. I love to camp as well. Great pic, reminds me of our lake back home
ReplyDeleteHi Sonya,
ReplyDeleteYour Blog looks great! I enjoyed reading it and look forward to following your future post. I am with you though. I find it hard to relax sometimes myself, because I have so much going on, but I think practicing these exercises more regularly will help me to relax.
